As WA's only not-for-profit DJ network, The Beat Collective is best known for shattering the peace & quiet of Dunsborough during one very special week in November. Since 2006, The Beat Collective's volunteers have programmed every aspect of the dance music tent at Dunsborough Leavers' Zone - and are proud to work together with the Office of Crime Prevention and WA Police to make Dunsborough Leavers the biggest party of the year.
"1 paddock, 5 nights, 10 DJs and 4500 school leavers!"
The fun doesn't stop there.
With 50% of our full members currently enrolled at ECU, The Beat Collective is also one of the most active student clubs on-campus. TBC is featured regularly at on-campus events such as:
-- Mt Lawley and Joondalup O-Days
-- Student Guild social and fundraising events, including end-of-semester parties;
-- ECU Live! (Joondalup Open Day for prospective students);
-- Clubs Carnival (showcases all the student clubs);
-- Guild Sesh Outdoors, under the trees, on Wednesdays; and
-- ”Lunch Break - BBQs with Beats" @ Mt Lawley (ongoing, as often as possible).
Off-campus, The Beat Collective also appears regularly at private parties, "The Fuzz" (Thursday nights) at The Como Hotel and at the Perth Dance Music Awards.

Whilst volunteering is a commitment and can have its not-so-shiny moments, we try to reward your time, tunes and talent as best we can because without people like you, we wouldn't exist at all!
